Are you tired of constantly searching for new clients?

“How can I make clients come directly to me?”

We were recently approached by a client in the consulting industry who had had enough of constantly looking for the next contract. In his own words:

“I have great clients, but I feel that every time I finish a project, I need to get back into the grind and look for the next one. How do I bring clients to me and create a regular source of referrals?”

Our thought….”Well, my friend, you have come to the right place.”

This client was in clear need of a marketing strategy which would not only secure new clients, but would allow him to remain top of mind presence with the ones he had already worked for-who, by the way, loved him. As his livelihood relies on delivering workshops and internal strategies for other businesses, his greatest asset is the work he has done with past clients for two reasons a) they will be his best source of referrals b) they will be the ones hiring him again and again. However, in order to achieve this, he must remain fresh in their minds.

Some of the strategies we recommended included:

  • Brand consolidation: his online image online was “a little bit of this” “a little bit of that,” not really representing his strength and what he can do for his clients.
  • Email marketing: this will allow him to remain top of mind presence with clients he already worked with, informing them of what he is up to while offering them regular, valuable content.
  • Blogging: sharing his knowledge is vital for him to stand out as an expert in his field. It will also expose him to a whole new audience who does not know him, but is highly interested in what he has to say.
  • Webinars: this will allow him to deliver his presentations and workshops to an unlimited number of past clients and a captive audience looking to be mesmerized by the quality of what he has to say and the passion in his delivery.
